What if we cancel our wedding? What kind of clothing do you wear to the wedding? Do you take formal group pictures? Do you mind if people other than you take photographs during the wedding? What is your photography style? I try to cover the events of the day with as little intrusion as possible, seeking to capture the emotions, natural expressions and details that make each wedding unique. Most of the time people think that I am a close friend of the family not an unfriendly hired professional. What kind of Equipment do you use? I use Nikon 35mm film and digital cameras with portable flash. If you are interested in having digital and/or large or medium format images with extra lighting, please let me know. [Top] How many pictures will you take? I will take as many or as few pictures as you want. However, I generally shoot about 4-5 rolls of film per hour (or about 180 digital images). And I will edit through my images before I pass them off to you. [Top] How long before we see our proofs? Normal viewing time is right after your honeymoon, about 2 weeks after your wedding or sooner if need be. [Top] Do we get to choose how much Color or B&W, you will take? Of course! You can choose whatever format you want. Normally we photograph the formals, details, cake & flowers in color and the rest in black and white; however, the color theme will be up to you. Just provide us with a percentage of how many pictures you want in B&W and how many in Color. Remember all color images can be turned into B&W. [Top] What is required to book the date? I require both a deposit and a signed contract. This guarantees your date. The complete balance for my time is due on the day of the event. You can pay Seze Devres Photography by mailing in a check, or by meeting with me in person. Since I book my dates on a first come first serve basis, I do not hold dates until I actually receive both a signed contract and deposit. However, if someone else asks about my services on your date, I will try my best to inform you beforehand. [Top] Will you ever send an associate to photograph our wedding? No. I photograph every wedding. You hired me, not my assistant. [Top] What if you have an Emergency or unexpected event and can't make it to our wedding? In this rare case, I would refer you to an associate with a similar style and pricing and issue a refund. [Top] Do you have packages? Since I let you keep your negatives (and/or digital files) I do not have an album package. However, I will gladly help you edit your images to make a lovely album afterwards. The proofs (4x6 prints) are included in the price of film and you can make lovely albums with them or give the doubles away to friends and family. If you are interested in meeting with me to discuss a price along your projected budget, or if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. [Top] Do we keep the negatives? Yes. I will give you all the negatives so you can print your own enlargements. I can refer you to a high quality lab or you can chose your own to get your re-prints and enlargements. This is a much more affordable option than other photographers who keep the negatives and overcharge for prints. [Top] How about albums? Since you keep your negatives, I do not have an album package; however, I will gladly help you edit your images to make a lovely album afterwards. The 4X6 prints are included in the price of film and you can make lovely albums with them or give the doubles away to friends and family. [Top] Do you charge extra for travel? Yes, I charge for travel outside of New York City. [Top] What if we cancel our wedding? If I am able to schedule another wedding on your date, I will refund your deposit. If not, there is no refund. [Top] What kind of clothing do you wear to the wedding? I dress nicely to blend in with your fabulous looking guests. [Top] Do you take formal group pictures? Yes they are essential. However, remember you chose me for my creative eye to capture special moments at your wedding. Therefore, I like to limit them to 30 minutes. If you wish, I can take more time for group photos, but it might detract from my ability to create the style you hired me for. If the formal group pictures and posed portraits are the most important aspect of your wedding photography and you have a long list of various combinations of people that you simply must have shots of, then please let me know beforehand. I will accommodate your needs to the best of my abilities. [Top] Do you mind if people other than you take photographs during the wedding? No, I do not mind at all. Since my main focus with is to show what happens during the wedding, it would be nonproductive of me to STOP something from actually happening!
